For the past three years it has become my families tradition to be a spectator at the Lord Strathcona’s Mounted Troops ceremony here on base. Every year I am blown away at the tradition, pride, elegance and sheer commitment to training from these military members.
I am so proud to be a military wife, and I consider myself so fortunate to be allowed to witness these events. The Mounted Troop is a huge part of the tradition that goes into the Strathcona Unit. The Army may typically use tanks and coyotes when in need but, the beauty and history behind the mounted troop is vital to the spirit of this unit.
Here is just a small look into this event.
